Family Therapy
Helping families find the peace they desire
All your life, you envisioned a home full of laughter and love: kids reading a book with dad, the family curled up together on the couch for movie night, everyone dressed up and headed happily to church on Sunday morning.
Now, your home has become a minefield. You never know what you might say or do that causes another explosion. Arguments and then withdrawal have become the most common method of interacting. The fun is gone. You and your spouse often feel like you're in survival mode.
It will get better.
Counseling can give your family the space you need to really be heard. It will help you regain peace in the home by giving you tools to uncover and then break negative patterns that have been holding you back as a family. Family counseling gives each person the opportunity to talk about their vision for the family and brainstorm ways to reconnect with one another and have fun again.

Whether your kid is 8 or 18 (or 28!) family counseling can be beneficial. If you're walking on eggshells around your loved ones and just can't seem to get on the same page, reach out and get the help you need. It will get better.
If we need to see a counselor,
does this mean we failed as parents?
Absolutely NOT.
It's exactly the opposite! Reaching out to a counselor is a bold move that says, "My family matters too much to not get the help we need." It says, "Our kids deserve a peaceful caring home, and we have to try something new." It says, "I am strong, I am loving, and I am willing to do what it takes to make our lives better."
You're an incredible mom or dad for taking this step in a different direction.
