Counseling We Offer

We work with individualscouples, and  families through a relational lens, as our relationships play a vital role in our well-being. We help clients in areas such as communication and conflict resolution, restoring trust, family dynamics, grief and loss, sexuality, and spirituality. We also specialize in premarital counseling.

Telehealth and "walk and talk" sessions are options too. Let us know if you'd like more information about these.

Meet Kristin

LPC at Cahaba Counseling

Kristin Penuel, LPC, NCC

Kristin is a Licensed Professional Counselor and board certified counselor (NCC) in Trussville, Alabama, just outside of Birmingham. She has a bachelors in psychology from Regent University in Virginia and a masters in counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has advanced training in couples therapy, premarital counseling, and family counseling. 
  

Kristin practices at Cahaba Counseling in downtown Trussville. We are located off of Chalkville Rd., on the campus of First Baptist Church Trussville. 

Kristin provides clients with a safe, confidential, and judgment-free space to explore ideas, talk through issues, and find solutions. Kristin and her family live in Trussville, and she is truly invested in the people of this community.


Kristin practices alongside Nikki O'Dell, LMFT; Donna Marsh, LPC-S, and Katie Dalstra, LPC. Each counselor specializes in a different area, so visit Psychology Today to learn about each one. ​
